UCITS Hedge Funds Gain 0.27% in April 2010
UCITS hedge funds continued a year of mostly positive performance in April, posting a gain of 0.27% for last month. UCITS hedge funds have done fairly well this year with year-to-date gains of 1.62%.
April showers didn't rain on UCITS' hedge fund parade. Last month, the UCITS Alternative Index Global gained 0.27%, bringing its year-to-date performance to 1.62%. At the same time, the Fund of Funds Index increased by 1.02%, bringing its performance for the year to 1.57%.
The Commodities Index and Multi-Strategy Index are the best performing ones gaining 0.88% and 0.83%, respectively, for the month.
The CTA Index and Long/Short Equity Index achieve the lowest results for the period with -0.46% and -0.06%, respectively.
On a year to date basis, the Fixed Income Index is the best performing sector with 2.76% while the CTA Index shows the lowest return with -0.81%. Source
