Money Market Investments Glossary Definition

Markets for borrowing and lending money for three years or less. The securities in a money market can include US government bonds, Treasury bills, and commercial paper from banks and companies.

Many banks offer money market accounts, which are demand accounts that pay interest based on short-term interest rates.
