Current Liabilities | Company Accounting

Amounts owed whose liquidation can reasonably be expected to require the use of existing resources classified as current assets. Typically current liabilities include amounts due for salaries, accounts payable, interest, and debts due within one year. Obligations that are due on demand or callable at any time by the lender are also classified as current, regardless of the intent of the lender.
