Portfolio Management Talent
Portfolio Management Talent Shift
(http://HedgeFundBlogger.com) Today we heard about Mr. Coffey's move to Moore Capital Management, the truth is portfolio management teams are being shuffled across the industry. Many of the largest hedge funds in the industry are loosing talented traders and portfolio managers for greener pastures, where returns are positive and teams are still hungry to grow the business. When a hedge fund has low performance it not only hurts morale and current year bonuses, it means loyalty to the firm as a whole may severely drop.
I received a call on Saturday from one of my friends who is a top hedge fund executive search professional working with a full portfolio management team that is wanting to be lifted out of a top 10 hedge fund. This team has worked together for 7 years and similar to Coffey and his team, they would like to all leave together and join a fund looking to expand their business. If you know of a $100M+ hedge fund which is looking to expand their operations and bring on some new talent please let me know - Richard@HedgeFundGroup.org. Thanks in advance for the help.
