Armor Compliance: New proposed federal legislation that has strong support requires all investment advisers with more than $30 million under management to register under the Investment Advisers Act and appoint a chief compliance officer. Armor Compliance (info@armorcompliance.com) will offer comprehensive compliance services and an experienced, highly-qualified chief compliance officer (“CCO”) on a part time basis for investment advisers to hedge funds and private equity funds who will need to register under the Advisers Act. The business is geared toward investment advisers who do not have the resources to hire a full time CCO yet feel uncomfortable giving such important tasks to a current employee without sufficient legal and compliance experience or knowledge of the Advisers Act and the other constantly changing U.S. securities laws.
