He retired from his positions as a General Partner at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, at the end of 1991, after 25 years of service. Dr. Cooperman is a Director, Chairman of Audit Committee, Member of Executive Committee, and Member of Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee at Automatic Data Processing, Inc., a Trustee at Saint Barnabas Hospital, and Chairman at the Saint Barnabas Development Foundation. He is also a Member of the Board of Overseers at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, serves on the National Board of Trustees at the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, Inc. Mr. Cooperman is also associated as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Cancer Research Fund at the Damon Runyon-Walter Winchell Foundation, and Member of the Investment Committee at the Museum of Modern Art. He is a Senior Member and past President of the New York Society of Security Analysts. Dr. Cooperman is a designated Chartered Financial Analyst. He has received his B.A. from Hunter College and M.B.A. from Columbia University. Dr. Cooperman is a recipient of Roger Williams University's Honorary Doctor of Finance and was inducted to Hunter College's Hall of Fame source
