CFA Exam Forums for Help
Regarding Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) forums, there are two areas to address; CFA candidate forums and CFA charterholder forums. The forums for candidates will be based more around passing the examinations and study groups while the chartholder forums will be centered around industry questions and concerns that are effecting CFA members.
For CFA candidates to discuss questions and make comments, there are actually a number of forums available for them to utilize. One of the most popular is www.analystforum.com. This is a website designed exclusively for CFA candidates and charterholders to discuss various aspects of the CFA and its examinations.
Analyst-forum has various sub-topic discussion boards available. There is the General discussion: this sub-group is for discussing the CFA examinations in general. There is then the Level I discussion which is based around questions concerning the lvel I examination. The Level II discussion is based upon questions concerning that examination. Finally, the Level III discussion centers around questions concerning the final examination. There is also the “hook-up” discussion; this allows CFA candidates to form study groups and/or get together with other candidates in person.
For CFA Charterholders, there are also a vast number of forums for them to utilize. One very obvious forum is www.cfaforums.org. This is a forum that is maintained by the CFA institute. This forum keeps a discussion of various topics that current CFA members are interested in and/or concerned about.
The site is broken down into the subtopics Idea Exchange, Industry Trends, and My Wealth Management Community. In the Idea Exchange discussion, a CFA member has further sub-groupings; client solutions, concentrated stock workshop, practice management, PWM Newsletter, Recommended events and readings, Society talk, and wealth management 2008. Each one of these has various discussion threads within it.
Industry Trends contains topics such as CFA institute and other professional organizations, financial market development, latest reports and surveys, and tax and regulatory developments. The My Wealth Community is divided by areas of the world. Asia, Europe, Canada, and the United States are the four subdivisions in this forum. Besides the forums listed above, there are hundreds of other discussion boards and chat groups available to both CFA Candidates and CFA charterholders. The vast number of available CFA forums allows almost any CFA related answer to be quickly located within a forum on the internet.
