SSB World Money Market Index
Salomon Smith Barney's World Money Market Index is calculated on an equally weighted basis, approximating the performance of money market instruments in the following currencies:
Canadian Dollars | Netherlands Guilder |
French Francs | Swiss Francs |
German Deutsche Marks | UK Pounds Sterling |
Japanese Yen | US Dollars |
The index measures the return of money market instruments making the following assumptions:
(a) The index invests only in deposits or securities maturing in three months.
(b) All deposits and securities are held to maturity.
(c) At the beginning of each month, one third of the index matures and is rolled over into new three-month instruments.
