Investment Grade Bond Index Holdings

Salomon Smith Barney maintains a number of indexes of the US investment-grade bond market, including:

SSB Broad Investment-Grade Bond Index

Salomon Smith Barney's market-weighted index that contains approximately 4,700 individually priced investment-grade bonds rated BBB or better. The index includes US Treasury/agency issues, mortgage passthrough securities, and corporate issues.

SSB Mortgage Index

The mortgage component of the Salomon Smith Barney Broad Investment Grade Bond Index. It includes 30- and 15-year GNMA, FHLMC and FNMA pass-throughs, and FNMA and FHLMC balloon mortgages. Coupons must have at least $1 billion in aggregated face amount outstanding to be included in the index.

SSB GNMA Index

Salomon Smith Barney's GNMA Index includes pools of mortgages originated by private lenders and guaranteed by the mortgage pools of the Government National Mortgage Association.
