Institutional Brokers Estimate System. A system dedicated to the systematic collection and reporting of corporate earnings estimates and security analysts' recommendations. I/B/E/S provides information on over 17,000 companies in 47 countries. More than 7,000 financial analysts representing over 800 institutions contribute earnings data and recommendations to I/B/E/S.

Established in 1971 and acquired by Primark in 1995, I/B/E/S is headquartered in New York and has offices in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I/B/E/S currently employs 150 people worldwide.
