Bankers Acceptances Index | Definition

Includes 90-day time drafts that have been drawn on a bank by a customer and that bear the bank's promise to pay them at maturity. Normally used to finance international trade, bankers acceptances are irrevocable obligations of the accepting bank secured by the accompanying title documents to the goods being financed.
