Annual Financial Report from Corporations
(1) A formal financial statement issued annually by a corporation that depicts the firm's assets, liabilities, revenue, expenses, and earnings for the year. An annual report summarizes how the company stood at the close of the business year, how it fared profitwise during the year, and other information of interest to investors, lenders, or stockholders.(2) Yearly record of a publicly held company's financial condition. It includes a description of the firm's operations, its balance sheet, and income statement. SEC rules require that the report be distributed to all shareholders. A more detailed version is called a 10-K report.
